This is very simply a blog about living in London. It combines my love for 'town' as we call it, with my love for writing. 'Tails' as opposed to 'tales' reflects the fact that, more often than not, our dog Hamish is with us on our travels. But I hope that it will appeal to more than just dog-lovers - fellow Londoners, visitors and the curious. I hope you'll enjoy living in and discovering London with me.

The Shard at night
I took this picture of the Shard last night on my way home from work. It looks like something out of a sci-fi film. My wife says it looks like a huge dalek under construction.
